Sisian Gallery
In 1996, the Sisian Gallery, which is a branch of the National Gallery, was founded. Here you can see the works of Armenian artists from the beginning of the 20th century to our times.
The exhibition of the museum consists of 33 paintings and 3 sculptures. Landscape paintings created by Yeghishe Tadevosyan, Panos Terlemezyan, Rafael Shishmanyan, Sedrak Arakelyan, Gabriel Gyurjian, Khachatur Yesayan, Zakar Khachatryan and others are presented here.
A number of portraits take their place in the exhibition, among them the works of Stepan Aghajanyan, Henrik Siravyan, Rafael Atoyan, Ashot Melkonyan. The portrait of the poet Hamo Sahyan painted by Paravon Mirzoyan is of special interest.
The expressive works of Edward Isabekyan, the colorful works of Mkrtich Kamalyan, as well as the decorative works of Ruben Shahverdyan are of great interest.
Still lifes are also displayed in the museum. Martiros Saryan, descendants of his artistic principles, Mher Abeghyan, Mariam Aslamazyan, Harutyun Kalents, and also Gohar Fermanyan, Grigor Khanjyan, Hakob Hakobyan, who follow completely different paths, are represented by this genre.
